Alliance Child Psychological Therapies in
Primary Schools, Secondary Schools & Academies

Alliance are commissioned by local primary schools, secondary schools and academies to deliver a range of psychological therapies and support to children, young people and their families, within the school environment.

Our staff team are fully qualified and experienced therapists, including Child Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Counselling Psychologists, Systemic Family Workers, Parenting Support Workers and Family Group Conferences Coordinators.

Support can be offered to any child or young person (up to the age of 16yrs) with emotional, behavioural or mild to moderate mental health concerns. This includes children and young people with attachment difficulties.  Through the delivery of NICE recommended, evidence based interventions we help to reduce the psychological distress that children and young people may experience as a result of facing a range of life difficulties, such as being bullied or experiencing bereavement.  We have supported young people who are having difficulties with relationships, for example with family or with friends and we help young people who are having difficulty managing their emotions, such as anger.

We work within over 60 primary schools, secondary schools and academies in Stockton and across Teesside and we pride ourselves on the excellent relationships we have built up with schools, to improve children s emotional health and wellbeing.  We also work in partnership with other CaMHS agencies and disciplines across health, social, education and voluntary/community services to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
