For Parents

An introduction to Mindfulness for Parents and Carers

What is Mindfulness for Kits?

The aim is for parents, carers and children to become familiar with the tools of mindfulness and in doing so support themselves when feeling stressed or worried by;

  • enhancing children’s ability to focus and concentrate
  • helping to build emotional resilience and self regulation
  • creating an opportunity to enable children to notice and recognise reactive behaviour
  • encouraging the development of kindness and self-compassion
  • building on family strengths and relationships

 How will the programme be delivered?

 The programme is delivered over a five-week delivery providing access to an evidence based digital programme of Mindfulness.

This includes:

  • access to a secure digital platform
  • presentations delivered in live sessions with a Mindfulness facilitator and opportunities for Parents and Carers to ask questions with immediate and interactive responses
  • opportunity to develop peer support with other parents via a dedicated Facebook Group
  • access to resources and help-guides for Parents
  • teaching and introduction of a series of five short stories and audio recordings which introduce parents/carers and their children, in a fun way, to the very rewarding skills of mindfulness.
