Teens Being Mindful represents a teacher led, comprehensive introduction, to the skills and practice of mindfulness.

Who is this programme for?

An introduction to the skills and techniques of Mindfulness for children and students aged 11 to 18 years old.

Why practice mindfulness?

Regular mindfulness practice has been shown to promote creativity, enhance concentration, reduce stress, and support the development of greater mental resilience, kindness and self-regulation.

Teens Being Mindful has specially been designed such that:

  1. Teens Being Mindful sessions can fit smoothly and effortlessly into a busy school / college schedule.
  2. Is easy to deliver.  The short, pre-recorded guided practices are simple to follow and give an opportunity to provide a gentle restorative pause during any natural breaks in an active school day.
  3. Each module is progressive in respect of accumulating and building a wider repertoire of mindfulness skills and each comes with a succinct but comprehensive teachers manual.
  4. Teaching staff are not required to have had any prior experience of mindfulness (although we would stress that such experience is always of benefit). We recommend, however, that before each module is introduced, a familiarisation session is held with staff to introduce the objectives and practices developed within.
