Interventions

We believe good mental health allows children and young people to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life presents and grow into well rounded, healthy adults.

Our interventions for children and families help to overcome mental health difficulties, such as anxiety low mood and depression physical issues, such as illness or disabilities and difficult life events such as bereavement, school transitions, exam stress, difficult relationships within families or peers. We also work with difficult emotions such as anger and low self-esteem and with children and families who need additional support either through Early Help, Social Care or Looked After. All with the aim of improving the overall emotional wellbeing of children, young people and families.

We work within the principles of Children’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies CYP IAPT which aims to create, across staff and services, a culture of full collaboration between child, young person and/or their parents or carers. Our staff work within ethical frameworks and are members of professional bodies such as BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS, AFT.
