Taking the first step. What happens next?

We understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. Here’s what your journey with Alliance Plus could look like.

Reach out when your’re ready

Complete our online enquiry form or give us a call. You don’t need to know which therapy is right for you or have everything worked out before contacting us.

Let’s have a conversation

We’ll take the time to understand a little more about you , what you’re experiencing and find the right support for you, explain all arrangements and costs involved.

Your first therapy session

An opportunity to get to know your therapist, talk about what has brought you to therapy and explore what you would like to achieve. It’s normal to feel nervous.

Moving forward, together

As your sessions continue, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your experiences, develop new perspectives and build ways of managing the challenges you’re facing.

You don’t need to know which type of therapy you need before getting in touch.

We offer a range of therapeutic approaches to support different experiences and challenges. Our team can help you understand the options available and explore which may be appropriate for your circumstances.

Counselling

A supportive space to talk through your thoughts, feelings and experiences, explore the challenges you’re facing and develop a greater understanding of yourself.

This can help with a wide range of emotional and personal difficulties, including stress, low mood and life changes.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a structured therapeutic approach that can help people process distressing or traumatic experiences.

It aims to reduce the ongoing emotional impact of difficult memories, helping you move forward without those experiences feeling as overwhelming.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT helps you explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

It can support you in recognising unhelpful thinking patterns and developing practical strategies to manage difficulties such as anxiety, stress and low mood.

Couples Counselling

Relationships can face challenges at different stages of life.

Couples counselling provides a supportive environment to explore difficulties, improve communication, understand one another and work towards a healthier relationship.

Bereavement Counselling

Losing someone you love can bring a wide range of emotions, and there is no single way to experience grief.

Bereavement counselling offers a compassionate space to talk about your loss, process your feelings and find ways to navigate life following bereavement.

You don’t have to decide on your own. Our team can help you explore your options and understand the support available.
