Comfort & Care: A Grief Support Session for the Festive Season
The festive season can be a beautiful time of connection, celebration and togetherness, but it can also be a time when feelings of loss, loneliness or emotional strain become more noticeable. When the world around us seems to be celebrating, it can feel especially difficult if you’re carrying grief, navigating change, or simply not feeling “festive”.
You’re not alone.
And you don’t have to move through this season unsupported.
Our Comfort & Care: A Grief Support Session has been created to offer a compassionate space where you can pause, reflect and feel held.
A gentle, supportive space to breathe
Led by our experienced trainers Jo and Fiona (who is also a qualified therapist), this session is designed with kindness at its core. Jo and Fiona bring a blend of professional expertise, deep empathy and experience.
They understand that grief is not one-size-fits-all.
- It can be loud or quiet.
- Fresh or long-carried.
- Expected or unexpected.
- Sometimes it shows up as sadness, other times as stress, exhaustion, irritation or a sense of emptiness.
Wherever you are in your journey, this session offers a moment to acknowledge your feelings without judgement.
What we’ll explore together
- A moment of care
- Understanding grief in all its forms
- Supporting yourself and others
- Helpful signposting
Why this session matters
During the festive period, many people feel pressure to “put on a brave face”. But you don’t need to do that here. Even attending can offer comfort, clarity and a sense of being less alone.
If you work in a supportive role or are caring for others, this session may also help you reflect on your own needs and boundaries, vital for preventing emotional overload during a demanding time of year.
