SALARY: £31,000 to £38,000 a year Once qualified range is £38,000 to £41,500 per annum pro rata.

We are currently recruiting multiple High Intensity CBT (HICBT) training posts to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in CBT course. Successful applicants will either attend Newcastle University starting September 2025 or Teesside University from 2nd week in January 2026. Successful applicants will be expected to start the role prior to training commencing (ideally from August 2025 for September course) to allow time to ensure a comprehensive welcome and induction into the service. They will attend University will be allocated study leave on a regular basis through term time and carry an appropriate clinical caseload. Salaries will start at £31,000 based on current qualifications and experience increasing to £38,000 once qualified.
These positions are not for remote contracts face to face working is expected
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 16th July, Friday 18th July or Monday 21st July.

If you are a PWP without a core profession you must have PWP registration with BABCP and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification PWP experience working as a PWP (please note this is 2 years post board confirmation of qualifications).
If you are a counsellor you must have a minimum 2 years post qualification experience and be Accredited or eligible for Accreditation prior to beginning the course without accreditation in place you would need to complete the KSA route.
If you are invited to interview for the role you must bring with you any academic qualifications certificates and evidence you hold as applicable.
If you are applying through the KSA route you will need to produce your complete portfolio at interview stage.

Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners

CONTRACT: Permanent
We are currently recruiting several Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) training posts to start the course at Newcastle University in October 2025, to work within our Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service. Successful candidates will be required to start in the role prior to the training course commencing, to allow time to learn more about the Impact service and complete an induction period. Successful applicants will complete the Low Intensity Psychological therapies (PGCert) course during their first year within the post. Salaries for the PWP training posts will be £25,000 per annum, increasing to £26,000 per annum once qualified.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide a range of evidence-based low intensity psychological interventions within the framework of the NHS England Talking Therapies programme as part of the Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service.
They will work in Impact's duty team offering assessment and support to patients referred into the service.
The postholder will work as part of the Impact team in clinical practice for a minimum of 3 days across the week whilst attending the PWP training programme.

Successful applicants will be employed by either Alliance Psychological Services or Teesside Mind this will be confirmed at appointment. Although both organisations work under the Impact on Teesside service, they have differing terms and conditions.
