We are currently recruiting several Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) training posts to start the course at Newcastle University in October 2025, to work within our Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service. Successful candidates will be required to start in the role prior to the training course commencing, to allow time to learn more about the Impact service and complete an induction period. Successful applicants will complete the Low Intensity Psychological therapies (PGCert) course during their first year within the post. Salaries for the PWP training posts will be £25,000 per annum, increasing to £26,000 per annum once qualified.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide a range of evidence-based low intensity psychological interventions within the framework of the NHS England Talking Therapies programme as part of the Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service.
They will work in Impact’s duty team offering assessment and support to patients referred into the service.
The postholder will work as part of the Impact team in clinical practice for a minimum of 3 days across the week whilst attending the PWP training programme.

Successful applicants will be employed by either Alliance Psychological Services or Teesside Mind this will be confirmed at appointment. Although both organisations work under the Impact on Teesside service, they have differing terms and conditions.
