At Alliance, we’re proud to be the leading independent provider of local mental health and emotional well-being services for children and young people. Our services are commissioned through various funding streams, including Local Authorities, schools, and the North East and North Cumbria ICB, and we take the lead on the Hartlepool and Stockton National Trailblazer for Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) This includes a local ‘Getting Help’ Offer and Tees Therapeutic Offer, which specifically assist children, young people, and their families dealing with attachment and trauma-related difficulties.
Getting Advice
As part of the Mental Health Support Teams in schools, we provide a consultation framework designed to support both student and staff well-being. We work closely with schools to help staff identify children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties early on, aiming to prevent the need for more targeted support. In addition, we deliver and support staff in facilitating CPD-accredited psychoeducation workshops, promoting mental health awareness and skills. We also offer supervision, giving school staff a safe and creative space to reflect on their practice. This helps empower children and young people to feel safe, build positive relationships, and thrive in their learning environment.
Getting Help
We offer a range of evidence-based psychological interventions designed to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, such as low mood, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation issues, OCD, self-harm, and eating difficulties. For those affected by trauma or attachment issues, we provide more specialised therapies. Additionally, we offer an in-school counselling service that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your school, ensuring a therapeutic approach that best supports your students.
Getting More Help
We collaborate closely with our partners in TEWV CAMHS to help schools build strong connections with specialised mental health services, including the neurodevelopment team. Our goal is to assist schools in navigating what can be a complex system. We can facilitate case discussions with specialist providers to ensure that students are directed to the right services and have their needs effectively met.
