At Alliance, we are proud to be a leading provider of local mental health and emotional wellbeing services for children and young people. Our work is commissioned through a range of funding streams, including Local Authorities, schools, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), and NHS partners.

We lead the delivery of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) across Hartlepool and Stockton, working directly with schools to provide early intervention and support. We also deliver the Tees Valley Getting Help service in partnership with organisations including Changing Futures North East, the Link, Junction, Teesside Mind and Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS.

Together, we bring a wealth of experience and expertise, enabling us to provide a coordinated, high-quality offer that supports the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across the region.

As part of both our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in schools and the Tees Valley Getting Help service, we offer a consultation framework to support pupil and staff wellbeing. We work in partnership with school staff to identify children and young people who may be experiencing early and emerging mental health difficulties at an early stage, helping to prevent concerns from escalating.

Our Getting Advice offer includes:

  • Consultation and guidance for school staff
  • Support with early identification and intervention
  • Delivery of, and support for, CPD-accredited psychoeducation workshops to build staff confidence, knowledge and skills

We also offer a wider training programme for professionals, designed to build confidence and strengthen whole-school approaches to emotional wellbeing and mental health. You can explore our full range of training opportunities on our Training Hub via the Tees Valley Getting Help website.

In addition to this core offer, we provide reflective and trauma-informed supervision for school staff as a paid service. This is separate from the Getting Advice offer. Supervision offers a safe, supportive space for staff to reflect on their practice, explore challenges, and develop trauma-informed approaches when supporting children and young people.

Together, these offers help schools create environments where pupils feel safe, build positive relationships, and are able to thrive in their learning.

We offer a range of evidence-based psychological interventions to support children and young people experiencing early and emerging mental health difficulties. This includes support for low mood, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, OCD, self-harm, and eating difficulties.

For children and young people affected by trauma or attachment needs, we provide more specialised therapeutic interventions, ensuring support is tailored to individual experiences and needs.

In addition, we offer in-school counselling, which can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your setting and complement your wider wellbeing provision.

In-school counselling is a paid-for service and is not included within our core Getting Help offer. If you are interested in this provision, please contact us to discuss your requirements and request a quote.

We collaborate closely with our partners in TEWV CAMHS to help schools build strong connections with specialised mental health services, including the neurodevelopment team. Our goal is to assist schools in navigating what can be a complex system. We can facilitate case discussions with specialist providers to ensure that students are directed to the right services and have their needs effectively met.
